Nelson Avella: Transformative Leaders, Transformative Communities

A presentation of my research on Transformative Leadership, undertaken as part of my MA in PSTE. The study includes a literature review and interviews with distinguished senior leaders — among them Aonghus Gordon and Ute Craemer — and explores the central question: are there specific qualities found in leadership which build up longstanding human-centred organisations?

I will also share insights from the Transformative Leaders’ Forum in Brazil (June 2025) and discuss the Transformative Mentoring Program developed by a Japanese company operating in Brazil, highlighting how these initiatives embody and extend the principles of transformative leadership in practice.
