Deepenings into Practical Skills Therapeutic Education

This course is an invitation to encounter, with fresh eyes, the Goethean and spiritual scientific thinking that underlies RMT’s method, Practical Skills Therapeutic Education.

Where Goethe offers a rigorous, empathic method for inquiring into nature, learning to truly see before rushing to theorise, Steiner extends that seeing into the spiritual dimensions of the human being, the cosmos and practical life. Both are central to PSTE. This course holds them together carefully, tracing how each shows up in the craft work, land work and therapeutic relationships that characterise RMT’s distinctive approach.

The course moves through a living sequence: Colour, Mineral, Plants, Animals, the Human Being, and Landscape. The course is designed as a morphological journey, from the purely physical to the freely self-conscious, mirroring the very structure of nature itself. Each block weaves together Goethean observation, spiritual scientific understanding and PSTE application, allowing the connections between what we do and why we do it to become vivid and real.

As genuine understanding, in the Goethean spirit, requires encounter, not just description, the course is experiential: from prism experiments, wet-on-wet painting and drawing from nature, to fieldwork in the RMT landscape.

Participants keep a working notebook throughout, gathering sketches, colour studies, observations and reflections into a personal record of the whole arc. A course reader is provided.
